Internet of Kaps (IOK) is a University of Zimbabwe Innovation Hub start-up,
founded in 2021 under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education's mandate to drive
industrialisation through innovation. The University of Zimbabwe is a proud shareholder.
We specialise in IoT — with our flagship being a locally-developed GPS asset tracking platform
engineered for real-world African conditions: patchy networks, harsh terrain, long routes,
and operators who need their data to stay in country.
Beyond tracking, we deliver custom software, network infrastructure, and managed IT services
for businesses and government. And we're building the first locally-assembled AI drone
platform on the continent — launching at VivaTech 2026.
